2009 Pancake Breakfast Raises $4,400 for HGNA Programs
 The fourth annual HGNA Pancake Breakfast was a rousing success despite the rainy weather, raising $4,400 for programs for girls and their caregivers.
The All-You-Can-Eat breakfast featuring pancakes, sausages, Dunkin Munchkins, juice, milk and coffee was held from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, October 24 at Ballydoyle Irish Pub and Restaurant, Downers Grove. As always, the event was held in conjunction with the Rotary Club’s Halloween window-painting event in downtown Downers Grove.
Celebrity servers at the breakfast included Downers Grove Village commissioners Bruce Beckman, Sean Durkin and Geoff Neustadt, village manager Dave Fieldman, and park district commissioners Bob Gelwicks and Ron Smith.
